A 7 night yoga retreat in Scotland visiting into some of the most beautiful and iconic places in Scotland. We will begin in the bustling city of Glasgow, taking a foray into Glencoe before flying to the ancient historical island of Orkney where we can see such wonders as Skara Brae. We then fly to Edinburgh for a couple of nights to soak up the city’s beauty. On each day of the trip we will partake in yoga practice with our professional teachers.
You choose if you take the full package with tours, or bed and breakfast with transfers and yoga.
Arrive into Glasgow before midday and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon we have a tour of the city, the largest in Scotland. We will jump on the Glasgow tour bus which is a great way to see the city. We will visit the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and MacKintosh House, you can then return to the hotel in your own time and we will have our first yoga practice before a welcome dinner in the evening. We have a long today so a short yoga session early in the morning. After breakfast we begin our journey out of the city to the beautiful valley of Glencoe and of course Loch Lomond. We will also visit some of the beautiful castles that are nestled in the highlands of Scotland. Yoga will be cancelled this evening as it will be a long day. Breakfast.
We begin the day with our morning practice. After breakfast you have a couple of hours free time to wander around Glasgow before we are taken to the airport for the short flight to Orkney. After we settle into the hotel we have a short walking tour of the town of Kirkwall. Afternoon yoga session. Breakfast.
We begin the day with yoga before breakfast and then prepare to depart for the day. A full day of excursions on the beautiful island of Orkney, we will visit the main sites such as Skara Brae, the 5,000 year old Neolithic town and the Ring of Brodgar. Weather permitting, we will have a short walk in the countryside. Yoga in the afternoon before evening dinner. Breakfast, dinner.
Starting the day with yoga and breakfast we again meet our guide to learn more about the history of Orkney. We will be taken by private vehicle to visit the other side of the island visiting places such as the Italian chapel and the Tomb of the Eagles. We will have a short afternoon yoga session before evening dinner. Breakfast, dinner.
Fly to Edinburgh and after settling into the hotel you have time to explore on your own. Yoga in the afternoon. Breakfast.
Another full day which will begin with yoga and then breakfast. We then begin our visit with our private guide to visit Edinburgh city centre. We will then head out of the city to visit Rosslyn Chapel. We will have afternoon yoga and a farewell dinner to celebrate the end of our yoga retreat in Scotland. Breakfast, dinner.

We will use a selection of well known and comfortable 4 star accommodation throughout the trip. All hotels have been checked and are perfectly located.
On Orkney, we will stay at the 17th Century Orkney hotel at Kirkwall harbour, which is well situated for historical sites, shopping and eating.
Glasgow, we will be staying in the iconic Millenium hotel right on George Square, the location is second to none and gives us the opportunity to visit the city with ease.
In Edinburgh, we finish our stay in Scotland at The Radisson on the Royal Mile. The hotel is perfect for exploring on your final morning.
Please arrive at Glasgow airport around midday on 19th of September for transfer to the city.
Arrange departure anytime on the 26th of September. There are international flights from all over the world to Scotland. We can help you look at the best schedule for you.
In general we will have 2 classes a day, one in the morning of 90 minutes and one in the afternoon of 60 to 90 minutes that may include meditation also. You do not need to take both classes every day, it is up to you.
These yoga retreats are for any standard of yogi including absolute beginners. We also cater for expert yogis also. We give the instruction for group 1 and group 2 and we will decide what group you are in the first day although you can swap between the 2 if you like. In addition if you would like to travel with a non yogi ask about special pricing.
They are not, we cater for all dietary requirements and some yoga centres may be 100% vegetarian but when we have lunch or dinner out you can eat what you like. Do let us know any preferences.
We do not provide visas but we can help you if you do need a visa.
We do not include these as people come from all over the world, we can help you find the best routing as we have many years experience in this field.
You can have a guaranteed single room by paying the single supplement.
If you would prefer not to pay the single supplement you can share a room with a person of the same sex. We will pair you with a room partner.
Ask us about packing lists for each specific destination but everyone should bring a yoga mat. We will supply blocks, straps and blankets.
