Day 1 (6th November)

Arrive into Tenerife South Airport and either collect your hire car or take the number 111 bus south to Adeje bus station. We can also assist you in organising a private transfer. On arrival to the beautiful Villa Perenquen you can settle in and get ready for our first yoga class. We will have a Yin Yoga class and meditation before our welcome dinner which is created by our executive chef.

Day 2 (7th November)

Today we will start the day with yoga and meditation with our professional teacher. The yoga shala is gorgeous and has been created with thoughts of Thailand. It is a sacred space to enjoy yoga with the wonderful smells of jasmine and sounds of birds. We then have a brunch created by our chef to set us up for the day. You may want to head to the beach and swim or the little rocky cove to snorkel. In the early evening we have a further yoga class and meditation before our 3 course dinner.

Day 3 (8th November)

It is such a wonderful way to begin the day on your mat with yoga, pranayama and meditation. We will start to practice a little more pranayama and discuss further yoga postures and the 8 limbs of yoga. We have our freshly prepared brunch before having the day free. We are very close to Siam Park which is known as the best waterpark in the world so you may decide to head there for the day. Early evening we continue our yoga practice.

Day 4 (9th November)

Your body is now used to the morning yoga practice and you will see and feel differences in your body and mind. You will feel more at peace and find it easier to sit for longer periods of time without moving, the mind will be stiller. We will explore different types of meditation. Our brunch will be ready for us and we have the rest of the morning and afternoon free. Early evening yoga practice before dinner in our tropical yoga and beach paradise.

Day 5 (10th November)

Our final full day in our island paradise, we can enjoy our yoga practice and reflect on how much we have learnt over the last few days. We may decide as a group to focus on some particular yoga posture or we can complete a chakra meditation. Our yoga retreat comprises of many things and we can learn more pranayama too. We will again receive our delicious breakfast before a tour of the plantation with one of the owners Juan. Here we learn how they have created this sustainable yoga centre in a 70 year old plantation. The rest of the day of free for snorkelling, walking or resting before evening yoga and a final dinner with our chef Andrea.

Day 6 (11th November)

A final morning yoga class with a focus on gratitude. We have spent 5 wonderful days in this beautiful yoga retreat centre and done many hours of yoga and meditation, we have also eaten some wonderful meals and of course enjoyed plenty of bananas while here. Our final yoga class will set us up for the onward journey. We will be taken back to the bust stop (which is really close) or you can drive back to the airport.

Accommodation throughout our stay is at the working banana plantation of Villa Perenquen, you can see it here at www.villaperenquen.com

While you stay here our private chef will provide us with a large vegetarian breakfast and 3 course evening meal, lunch is up to you. We will also have a small tour of the plantation while here. While staying here you are assisting a small working farm with the local staff it supports as opposed to purchasing everything outside of Tenerife where little money arrives into the island. It’s a great way to help.

The farm has a number of small houses each with one or 2 bedrooms, kitchen/dining area, bathroom and outdoor patio. Each area of the houses have been thought out perfectly and the kitchens are suitable for any cooking you may want to do.

The farm houses are a few minutes walk from the sea with an area for snorkelling and a swimming area a further 3 minutes walk. You are also close to the town if you want to do any shopping or eating out. Buses are close by and you could take the bus to Siam Park or you could hire a car with car hire for a week at approx. 120 euros including insurance.

Getting there

Please arrive into Tenerife South Airport and either hire a car for the duration approx. 100 euros or you can take the bus with the number 111 heading to Adeje bus station and then take the number 477 to Alcala where we will collect you at the bus stop. Travel is really easy in Tenerife. Taxis are also available and would be great if a number of people are arriving around the same time.

Coming back

We will depart Villa Perenquen at midday although if you would like to spend more days let us know. You can either return to the airport or spend more time in Tenerife. If you have further travel plans let us know and we will do our best to assist you. We can also advise you on independent travel plans throughout the UK and Europe.
